Día # 1 | Campeonato Mundial Femenino ILCA 6 2024
Hoy se dio el top de largada para el Campeonato Mundial Femenino de ILCA 6 2024, organizado por el Yacht Club Argentino y la International Laser Class Association.
Este evento, celebrado en la ciudad de Mar del Plata, cuenta con la participación de 102 competidoras de 46 países y otorgará siete plazas para los Juegos Olímpicos de París 2024.
El primer día del campeonato transcurrió con condiciones climáticas inestables y vientos de 8 a 12 nudos del Norte-Noreste. Esta primera fase clasificatoria se encuentra dividida en dos flotas y los repetidos intentos de largada de la flota amarilla, retrasaron el inicio de la regata de la flota azul.
Justo antes de iniciar la segunda regata, una tormenta intensa obligó al Comité de Regatas a dirigir toda la flota a puerto por razones de seguridad. Aunque se consideró inicialmente reanudar la competición, se determinó que era demasiado tarde, concluyendo así la jornada con una única regata.
Luego de concluida la regata del día, los primeros puestos están empatados: Julia Busselberg de Alemania y Line Flem Hoest de Noruega lideran el primer día del campeonato. Compartiendo la segunda posición se encuentran Carolina Albano de Italia y Emma Plasschaert de Bélgica. Completan el podio Anne Marie Rindom de Dinamarca y la Israelí Skay Kakon.
Mañana continuarán las pruebas y la serie clasificatoria, al finalizar la jornada habrá un tercer tiempo.

Today officially marked the start of the 2024 ILCA 6 Women’s World Championship, co-organized by the Yacht Club Argentino and the International Laser Class Association.
This event, held in the city of Mar del Plata, features the participation of 102 competitors from 46 countries and will award seven spots for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
The first day of the championship unfolded under unstable weather conditions and winds ranging from 8 to 12 knots from the North-Northeast. This initial qualifying phase is divided into two fleets, and the repeated starting attempts of the yellow fleet delayed the start of the blue fleet’s race.
Just before the start of the second race, an intense storm forced the Race Committee to send the entire fleet back to port for safety reasons. Although initially considering a return to competition, it was determined to be too late, concluding the day with only one race.
Because only one race was completed, the top positions are tied: Julia Busselberg from Germany and Line Flem Hoest from Norway lead the championship after the first day. Sharing the second place are the italian Carolina Albano and the belgian Emma Plasschaert. Completing the podium are Danish sailor Anne Marie Rindom and Israeli sailor Skay Kakon.
