En el quinto día del Campeonato Mundial de ILCA 6 2024, el característico viento noreste marplatense se hizo sentir durante toda la jornada. Con una intensidad que osciló entre los 7 y los 13 nudos, se dieron las condiciones para que tanto la flota de oro como la de plata pudieran completar tres pruebas.
Anne Marie Rindom de Dinamarca conserva cómodamente el liderazgo de la flota de oro, con una diferencia de 21 puntos frente a la estadounidense Charlotte Rose, quien vuelve a ocupar un lugar en el podio. La suiza Maud Jayet escala a la tercera posición, empatada con la belga Emma Plasschaert, que se ubica en el cuarto puesto.
Mañana se llevará a cabo la Medal Race, una regata en la que participarán solo las diez primeras clasificadas, quienes obtendrán el doble de puntos no descartables. También participarán en esta prueba la noruega Line Flem Hoest, la sueca Josefin Olsson, la finlandesa Monika Mikkola, la holandesa Maxime Jonker, la hungara Maria Erdi y la británica Hannah Snellgrove.
Por primera vez en este campeonato, se permitirá que los competidores que quedaron en el puesto 11 en adelante continúen participando, disputando así una última regata que definirá las siete plazas para los Juegos Olímpicos.
En la flota de plata, Greta Pilkington de Nueva Zelanda logró superar a la croata Elena Vorobeva, aunque ambas acumulan la misma cantidad de puntos. Florencia Chiarella de Perú se mantiene en el tercer puesto, completando el podio de esta flota.

On the fifth day of the ILCA 6 2024 World Championship, the typical Mar del Plata northeast wind was felt throughout the day. With an intensity ranging from 7 to 13 knots, conditions were met for both the gold and silver fleets to complete three races.
Anne Marie Rindom from Denmark comfortably maintains the lead in the gold fleet, with a 21-point difference ahead of the American Charlotte Rose, who returns to the podium. The Swiss sailor Maud Jayet rises to the third position, tied with the Belgian Emma Plasschaert, who holds the fourth position.
